Catavate CEO Dan Loeb to Speak at Citi China Consumer Conference

Catavate CEO, Dan Loeb, will speak at the Citi China Consumer Conference in Hong Kong on November 23, 2010.  Mr. Loeb will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing multinational companies as they endeavor to penetrate China's third, fourth, fifth and sixth tier cities.  Many brands are finding that their assumptions regarding spending power, pricing, and premium branding are increasingly out of date.  Yet success is China's major markets does not guarantee success in China's 500-600 lower tier cities.

Dan Loeb founded Catavate in 2008.  He previously served as President of Starbucks Greater China, General Manager of Nike China and CEO of USG Sports China.  A fluent Mandarin speaker, he has been involved with China since the mid-1980's and has lived and worked in China for more than 16 years.
